Furnishing an apartment is a complex undertaking. Choosing pieces of furniture from tiny catalog pictures is not easy, and to keep calm between hot dogs and quarreling couples on a Saturday afternoon is not everyone’s piece of cake. Good furniture is not cheap, but cheap furniture often does not last long.
Pabio, a young Swiss startup, offers help. A professional interior designer curates the furnishings. Pabio delivers and assembles. The high-quality furniture is not bought, but rented. If you move or fancy something new, Pabio picks up the rented furnishings again.
3D Software and Automation
Pabio relies heavily on process automation. Of all the products in the catalog 3D models were created. We advised Pabio on this process and developed a design tool to furnish an apartment with a few clicks. Based on the open source 3D software Blender, we programmed a rendering back-end that automatically generates high-quality, photorealistic 3D renderings from the created furnishing plans.
